don’t come to that house where you watch us sleep.
I’ve waited all year long for this shopping spree
and there’s only one place that has all I need.

Santa meet me at the mall.

I need a fishnet top for daughter who is goth.
Some cool sunglasses for my son who is not.
Share a pretzel while we walk to my favorite kiosk.
We can both get leather phone cases then get ‘em embossed.

They got a fountain where I trade in my coins for wishes
and if we ever lose track of the true meaning of Christmas
we can take a ride down the up escalator,
turn around and run back up the down a Christmas second later.

They got
candles, candies, department store portraits,
footwear, massage chair, gizmos and gadgets,
food court french fries, futuristic ice creams,
meaningful mementos and remote controlled fart machines.
